Living as faithful followers of Jesus in today’s world is getting harder. Resistance to Christians and their moral ideas is increasing. Because of this, some have abandoned the faith, “deconstructing” Christianity. Others water it down, compromising by adding some of the world’s moral reasoning and values. But neither makes sense because not only is Christianity true, but Jesus is so much better than anything this system of things could possibly offer. The book of Hebrews advises Christians to grasp the superiority of Christ over the old ways, grow into mature believers, and go on – continuing in practices of faithful following. We are to Perceive, Progress, and Persevere.
